Kids Love to Help in the Kitchen - Teach Them to Bake!

When I was growing up, helping my mother do her baking in the kitchen was one of the only things I truly enjoyed about "work duty".

To me, learning to bake was a very creative thing, and I would watch in fascination and awe as my mother assembled all the needed ingredients to bake a cake.  Since she always baked and cooked from scratch, this was an educational experience as well.  She took pride in every step of the process, and especially got enjoyment while teaching me to do the same.

To this day, some of my fondest memories come from being in the kitchen, helping my sisters and mother with the latest culinary creations.

Baking cookies is one of the easiest and most enjoyable things a child can do.  If you make their first experiences with baking as simple as possible, they are likely to want to do it again and again.

Here is a good place to start.
